For kids who want to read, rest, explore the outdoors or play chess! The Sensory Garden is located on Avon Street and accessed through Teddy Bear Park. It is open to the public on the weekends.
We are currently working on more sensory projects for the garden.
Nature + food + culture + art in a space welcome to all. We celebrate diversity, equity, and inclusion in this garden.
Our biggest garden project yet! Breaking ground this fall on the Cordova side of school.
A BWP demonstration garden designed to transform a bland pick up gate area on the outside of campus into a multipurpose space to benefit the school and neighborhood communities. We hope to employ Native and drought/heat tolerant plants, ample seating, and garden features to make a place for play, relaxation, and instruction. We also hope to inspire the community of school families, neighbors, and visitors in this busy section of Magnolia Park and schools around the District to look at creative, drought-tolerant, biodiverse garden solutions and outdoor classrooms.
A little slice of California's incredible biodiversity planted along the school building.
Healthy, organic food grown on campus for kids, by kids. STEM in action.
There are two free little libraries located in the Sensory Garden and the Rainbow Garden. Take a book, leave a book.
